VENTISQUERO CLASSICO CARMENERE
Viña Ventisquero is a large Chilean producer founded in 1998 by Gonzalo Vial, owner of a large fresh food business. The Ventisquero group includes the Queulat, Clásico and Yelcho brands amoungst numerous others. Today, the company owns more than 1500 hectares (3700 acres) of vineyards in the coastal Maipo region This Wine is made with carménère grapes - 85% and Syrah - 15%, which gives it aromas of fresh red fruits, a little wood, due to 10% of its production aging in French oak barrels, medium body and soft tannins.
Tasting Notes
On the nose presents blackberries and black currant aromas along with tobacco and earth tones. Intense on the palate with blackberries flavors. Dry with medium acidity. Mild tannins.
PAIRING
It goes well with pasta, red meat and cheese.
