KERRIGHAN'S IRISH WHISKY
To be an Irish whiskey, Kerrighan's does not forget about the traditions of the island. Natural water, which is the basis of whiskey, is a special pride of the Irish. it is water that largely determines purity of the taste of the finished drink. The second important ingredient of Irish whiskey is barley, which undergoes several levels of preparation before it is used in production process: soaking, germination and grinding. Combining, water and barley – two natural components - start the process of converting starch into sugars. With the addition of yeast, the mash undergoes further metamorphoses, turning sugar into alcohol. It's time for the main process – distillation, which is carried out three times to produce Irish whiskey. As a result, we can see the various taste styles of distillate, which are enhanced and acquire additional flavors with aging and maturation in 200-liter oak barrels. To be classified as Irish whiskey, the spirit must stay in barrels for at least 3 years. Kerrighan's original Irish whiskey is an endless delight in the art of blending.
